I am not sure what comments your are looking for so here we go.

There is so much wrong with that site I do not even know where to start.

Lets start with the fact that they attempt to mix in Christian ideas with a religion that predates Christianity.

The whole section on Wedding Ceremony should be tossed (Christian idea not Egyptian). There were no Weddings, Marages were contractual agreements that required that the arrangement be laid out in writing and the signatures witnessed.

There explanation of Ma'at is mediocre at best, and There tyeing of ancient Egyptian beliefs to modern metaphysics/New Age is just wrong.

The do not even touch on one of the key elements of the belief. That being the Ba, Ka, and Akh. With out an understanding of the basic soul any ritual magic will fall short of it's target, so to speak.

I will not even comment on there festival calender!(Ok well maybe a little )

Lets start with the basic soul through the ancient Egyptian beliefs.
The soul was/is not one thing as most believe today. It was made up of 3 parts. Those being the Ba, Ka, and Akh.

Ka
One of the aspects of the soul; the vital force of a person or god; the Ka of a dead person had to be fed, sheltered, and remembered, duties that fell to a Ka priest as well as members of the family. The Ka was believed to be fashioned at birth, as a "double."  The word is more difficult to interpret because the word ka, could mean image, genius, double, character, disposition, or mental attributes. Today we would probably say, "psyche."

Ba
An aspect of the soul emphasizing the mobility of the spirit. It thus took the appearance of a winged bird with the head of the deceased. It was able to fly around the Netherworld, and traverse into the land of the living. Ba,is depicted in hieroglyphics as a bird or a human-headed hawk, is usually translated simply "soul" and meant sublime and noble. It could leave the body at death and revisit the tomb to reanimate the body; it was able to go to heaven and dwell with perfected souls there as well.

Akh
An aspect of the soul; the luminous effective spirit of the deceased, capable of interacting with the living as what we might call a "ghost." The Akh which meant shining or translucent and is usually translated as "intelligence." It could also mean spirit, for the Akh of the gods lived in heaven, which is where the human Akh went after the prayers said for the dead enabled it to do so.

The concept of Ma'at is complicated at best. Ill just post an excerpt of a book I wrote about 2 years ago.

Ma'at

What or who is Maat?
Maat is the incarnation of the Neter which represents  truth, and justice. Maat is also the  ancient Egyptian word meaning truth, justice, righteousness, order and balance.
What or who is Neter?
The Neter or Neteru is the ancient Egyptian word for God or Gods. It is believed that Neter is so far beyond man that man can not even comprehend it. So to understand Neter man must break the Neter into Neteru. Smaller parts of the whole that man can easily understand. By understanding the Neteru man better understands the Neter and how the Neter interacts with our lives. There are many Neteru each with there own incarnation, personality, and governance.
So how does Maat effect me?
At death a persons hart is weighed against the feather of Maat. If that person has lived a good and honest life the feather out weighs the hart and the person is granted entrance into the afterlife. If the heart out weighs the feather the soul of the person is devoured to the destroyer of souls. So in life, a person must live in Maat. Giving them the honesty, righteousness, and balance to gain entrance into the afterlife.
What does Maat teach us?
Maat' teaches us to know ourself, be totally truthful and honest with ourself, to know our strengths and weakness, to give value to life, the arts, sciences, culture, education, personal development, and to be a seeker of knowledge. In any education, a person must learn to listen first. Then to take the steps needed to live a good and truthful life.
The teachings of Maat.
The teachings of Maat are laid out as statements one should make with conviction and honesty. These are statements of what you will not do. Thus living you life in Maat.

1.I will not commit sin.
2.I will not commit robbery with violence.
3.I will not steel.
4.I will not murder men and women.
5.I will not steel grain.
6.I will not purloin offerings.
7.I will not steel the property of Neter.
8.I will not uttered lies.
9.I will not carry away food.
10.I will not utter curses.
11.I will not commit adultery.
12.I will not make one weep.
13.I will not eat the heart.
14.I will not attack any man.
15.I am not be a man of deceit.
16.I will not steel cultivated land.
17.I will not be an eavesdropper.
18.I will not slandered.
19.I will not been angry without just cause.
20.I will not debauched the wife of any man.
21.I will not pollute myself.
22.I will not terrorize another.
23.I will not transgressed the law.
24.I will not been wroth.
25.I will not shut my ears to the words of truth.
26.I will not blasphemed.
27.I am not a man of violence.
28.I will not be a stirrer up of strife.
29.I will not act with undue haste.
30.I will not pry into matters.
31.I will not multiply my words in speaking.
32.I will not wrong another.
33.I will do no evil.
34.I will not stop the flow of water.
35.I will never raise my voice.
36.I will not curse Neter.
37.I will not act with arrogance.
38.I will not steel the bread of the Neteru.
39.I will not snatch away the bread of a child.
40.I will not treat with contempt the Neter of my city.

All 40 statements come from the scroll of going forth by day. They are the statements that one makes while the hart is being weighed against the feather of Ma'at. The statements are made in the past tense (I have not)

Thank you for that.
I was looking for opinions such as that, as I stumbled across the site and didnt know exactly what to think.

What about Mer?
you can't have MerKaBa without Mer

anyway I don't have time for an in-depth comment right now but I had just quickly broswed this site and a few things caught my eye that didn't seem right, but I wanted to see if anyone else saw it.

I have a very thorough book on egyptian magick and suffice to say this website left me wanting more. no incantations or anything.

Hmmm MerKaBa I have not heard of that one.

It would look like this written out.

Mer is the word friend or friends.

A close translation would be "friends of the Ka and Ba" or "Friends of the soul"

a closer translation would be,

Mer = "Launchpad" or "polarized LIGHT fields becoming recursive and infinitely compressable"

Ka = "Spirit" or "Essence" or "Source"

Ba = "Vehicle" or "Container" or "Body"

imo, idolhands is reptilian disintelligence.

I always thought it was

Mer - Counter-rotating fields of light

Ka - Spirit

Ba - Body

..same difference I suppose

my question is, has anyone sucessfully utilized the belief in the merkaba and used it to experience other worlds, OBE, astral travel etc?
Ive read a bit about it before, how its like our own personal space ship...

Personally i find it unescessarily clumsy. Our spaceship is our conciousness. ThAts all you need to go anywhere or do anything...

Again, im not so very well informed about it, i just read a chapter on it in "nothing in this book is true"

which i thought was a terrible read

Ok we must be talking about two different things. Linguistically Mer is the word friend or friends (in ancient Egyptian). This was from my knowledge of the language. I looked it up in Joseph Scott's hieroglyphic dictionary and found the same. I also looked it up in E. A. Budge's Egyptian Language book and it is the same there as well. (I don't trust Budge translations 100%)

Ba translated as body is a Budge thing. When A. E. Budge translated many Egyptian religious texts, he did so with an attempt to correlate them to the Christian belief system. Budge took the concept of the souls and broke them into Ba=Body, Ka=soul, Akh=concuss mind. It has been shown through later translations to be wrong. The reason Budge is so well published is that most of his work was done in the 1800's and is in public domain. Anyone with a Doctorate in Archeology and a Masters in Near East studies will tell you the same.
