bog garden shroomies
    #2982191 - 08/09/04 05:04 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

my friend took a couple chunks off his cake and threw some in his bog outside and some in his inside bog, full of straight long fiber sphagnum moss, the outdoor bog has 3 pins already forming and we were wondering if they were edible cause he says the acid is too high in the soil but a shroom is a shroom to me so... anyways is the acidity too high to eat will it effect its potency?

the acidity would only inhibit the growth of the shrooms. It would not make the shroom unhealthy in any way. If you don't want to eat em i will! :mushroom2:

The only thing that could make them bad is if they're growing on, with or near something toxic. Including toxic mold, chems etc.

I'd eat them as long as the bog and the cake doesn't have any obvious pollution in it.
