You can spin it all you want, I still think Bush is a good guy and doing the nearly the best job that I would expect any president in similar circumstances. It is easy to twist facts. I think of these characterizations are not realistic and very skewed. I wish somebody would at least attempt to look at politics without oversimplifying things in the most negative possible way. The crisis is all in your mind. Things have always been in flux and people have always believed that there specific place in time was special, that whoever they didn't vote for was the worst person ever walk the face of the earth, the end of the world is nigh, etc. The problem only exists if you imagine it does. I think it is foolish to worry about such abitrary and deliberately biased perceptions.

I'm not saying big or important things never happen and we should be apathetic all the time, but most of the time they are just imaginary things that people manufacture. Hiter is light years away from Bush. I think it should be pretty obvious that America today IS NOT Nazi Germany or Oceania from 1984. People learn too much from the past that if they aren't thinking resposibly they tend to project it wrongly onto the present. Partisan minds can be very imaginative when creating polarized reality. It's easy for people to distort the truth to fit whatever good/evil dichotomy seems immediately attractive to them, or to justify their political position. It is also foolish.

When you said: "It's easy for people to distort the truth to fit whatever good/evil dichotomy seems immediately attractive to them, or to justify their political position." - I thought of Bush and his Administration, but thats my opinion.

Nobody is safe from this truth. For Bush it may be terrorists, for liberals it may be Bush, for terrorists it may be all Americans or Jews, for Americans it could be muslims, for conservatives, liberals, and even for myself it is probobly people I think are closed minded, who probobly think the same of me. In my opinion however, it is more appropriate to deal with terrorists and dictators in terms of good and evil than it is with elected (yes, elected), and easily replaceable, officials within a consitutional and democratic republic. Until our government talks about exterminating 'infidels' and deliberately killing innocent people in the name of a religion, there is no serious comparison.

We can rant and rave, back and forth for ever...but the WHOLE IRAQ situation is enough for me to go insane on Bush and his regime. Why did we go into Iraq with military force? Why are Americans getting killed and wounded? (WMD, nope I guess not) Civilian deaths are a part of war yes...but what if there is no reason to wage war on country. Oh, thats right for "Freedom and Democracy" (which changed from the original WMD scare)...bull fucking shit. -Oil, money, oil and more money- I just pray that he loses the election, or I will go insane. Next thing we know we'll be spreading "Freedom and Democracy" all over the world...the day is coming for a revolt, see you in the streets.

It's a moot point. A third-party candidate will not ever be elected precisely because those corporate interests will not allow it.

I think no third party candidate will get elected because not enough people vote for them.
