Reusing spent cakes?
    #2978246 - 08/08/04 02:43 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

How would one go about reusing a spent cake? this is what my friend is planning....

take the spent cake to his back yard, dig a hole about 3 inches deep, 6x6ish wide, crumble up cake, and layer it into the hole, cover hole with potting soil?

is this good, or should it be done differently? should the spot be watered? anything else?

Great for house plants , and gardens too .
Depending on where you live ... outdoor teks are possible with "spent substrates " of all kinds . Do some on site searches for them there are many recipes to follow . I am sure someone will give you specific targets here after my dumb ass leaves .
Good Luck
