So...
I've been here a long time, I come and go, make a new name.. posted well over a thousand times under other names, read a lot of stuff, blah blah,
And I'm just wondering what the hell is up with the schizophrenics and mentally sick people who post here? It's nuts! They have always been so plentiful on this forum. Anybody care to put forward ideas on the schizophrenic presence here? What role the mentally ill play on this forum and the spiritual "scene" in general?

The mushroom trip has qualities of a schizophrenic episode. Perhaps some here are tripping a bit too much. This isn't 100% safe, people You seem a bit schizo yourself

Maybe some think that they are "enlightened" in some way because they see things that others don't. They may feel like they have something to say that will blow everybody's minds. Or maybe... They're searching for somebody who has experienced the same things that they have, so they can convince themselves that they're not crazy.

I think we have all been around s&p long enough to know we have to be able to back up our assertions in order to validate our arguments.

One possible reason is that schizophrenic mental states can be quite similar to "religious experiences".

Mixomatosis
Whenever you see a handicaped individual in a wheelchair, do you point finger, laugh and make fun of him?
Whenever you walk on a street and an elderly slow moving person blocks your way do you awlays start shouting at him/her to make way for you?
Then why do you lay these troubles on already troubled schizophrenics? Can't you see its a terrible illness, perhaps even worse than being physically disabled.

I'm glad that you think you can diagnose schizophrenia on an internet bulletin board.

They say there is a fine line between genius and schizophrenia or insanity.. and judging from the geniuses and insane people I have met and known, I would say that statement is pretty much true. The difference between the two is that one uses logic and critical thinking to confirm their suspicions while the other lets his mind take it whereever.
