Soak longer or change WBS brand. The main ingredient should be millet.

Are you soaking for 24 hrs? I also changeout the soak water with hot water during the 24 hr soak period which helps the millet soak up more watern and it also cleans it....

My foaf says that you need to soak twice as long as you did, and you need to simmer for about 45 mins.

Corn is probably easier though. You can't succeed if you don't try! Also, grain teks work better if you inject from a karo culture jar, using live mycelium rather than spores since they can take hold much easier and faster.

Rinsing, simmering and strainings for the birds (excuse the pun )
Here's what I do:
Add 200g (7 oz~280 ml~1.18 cup) birdseed to a 2 pint sized jar. Add 130g water (130 ml) to jar Add 2 knife tips of gypsum (optional)
Immediately PC at 16PSI for 1 HR and shake the jar vigorously once cooked or else the seed will clump together.
Allow jars to cool and your good to go.
