G2G generations...the last are weak?
    #2976465 - 08/07/04 07:28 PM (19 years, 7 months ago)

Is there a consensus on the viability of the myc. after two or three G2G transfers? Does it start to lose its stuff?
Thank you.

GB

No Stamets is a pseudonym for MY mom.

If the question was seriously asking about who Stamets is, he wrote the book on this shizzle. If its not, then see above statment again.

I just did a bunch of G2G transfers and im not please with the speed the mycelium is growing. Or my contam rate because the shit is not colonizing fast enough.

But I think it's because these spores went from syringe to kero to grain to grain to gran to grain.

Yep, it's lost it's "stuff"... Hope you made some prints.

Jose tells me that, if you even bother to use it, when it colonizes it will contam EXTREMELY fast. It will likely contam even before much older cakes in the same container.

maybe if you introduce a catalyst it will colonize before contamination spoils the party.

Nothing is going to make that mycelium young again...

no, it's not going to "make it young again". but a little caffeine might boost it enough for one more flush.
