Every time I purchase tickets to an event I practically get sick to my stomach seeing the "convenience fee" charged for each ticket I buy. Some friends and I want to see Yes w/ Dreamtheater at Red Rocks next month and there is a $10.65 "convenience fee" on top of the $61.50 face value for the ticket. That is an additional 17% of the face price!!!!

And there is not a goddamn thing any of us can do about it except protest by not going to shows. If you don't wanna pay, stay home and listen to the radio I guess.....

I know. It's a fucking pain in the ass. Try to buy tix directly from the band or at the show if you know it won't sell out. You can with the Dead, but I don't know about other bands.

yeah, the price of tickets in general are fuckin outrageous...i like when moe comes to town (i'm in their home town) and they play for 5$ at the bar
