Basically, here's why I chose sporetradingpost:
1) I'm not trying to get in trouble over this, OR ripped off, so it seemed more reputable than other sites because it was advertised by hightimes.
2) I'm not good with directions, and I wanted this to be as simple as possible.
My only complaints so far are that one day they were offering a cd-rom with Kit A, and when I went to order it, they had taken it off, and replaced it with a link to a website, which isn't explaining to me how to go further than my first flush. Now he's telling me that I have to BUY the cd-rom.
I didn't want to make a whole new post to ask this question, but I got the "N.J. 6" syringe from sporetradingpost. Has anyone tried it? What is your opinion of the quality?

Send him his 'garbage' back, tell him you want a refund, (not neccesarily in that order)....... if he won't, report his ass to the 'better bussiness bereu' . I swear you can make a BETTER kits for less than $30..........hang around and read, ask questions......... i'll give you a FREE sporeprint or syringe, your choice.

What just happened? I don't know who shane67 is.
Anyway, other than the price, i'm not really complaining yet. I'm definitly not "stirring up shit". I've just been looking at this forum off and on, and since I bought from S.T.P..com, I haven't heard anyone mention how they are, so I thought i'd ask if people liked them, and if people had tried the "N.J. 6" syringe that is supposed to produce a "Unique visual awareness" that will make you "see life as it really is!".
He didn't say, "now that I have your money, i'm giving you the web link instead of the cd-rom". It's just that it was included in Kit A one day, and I unfortunatly ordered when it WASN'T included. That's all.
Thanks a lot for the free spore syringe offer. I'd love to have one.
Right now, i'm only on the fruiting stage with my kit. I'm not at the point where you turn a print into a syringe, so I wouldn't know what to do with it at this point.

GOOD LUCK and let me reiterate what I am fairly sure the general population thinks. Sporetradingpost is a HUGE FUCKING SCAM, if you grow anything using the techniques/materials/syringes you will be EXCEEDINGLY LUCKY. They are THIEVES. If you believe in a higher power begin prayer now, after you follow the directions for their scam, continue in prayer, some self flagellation couldnt hurt either. Hopefully it succeeds, the mushroom cultivation that is... The reason you're not getting much feedback on the 'in's and out's' of the productivity of the sporetradingpost thieves kit is that you're one of the few who has dared to post that they were suckered in by them.
In the meantime, read how to grow shrooms here on these forums and at http://www.drooldonkey.org. Do searches on topics you come across that you dont understand. Expand your knowledge beyond those con-artists kit/tek/95$ syringes.... then fast and pray quite a bit more. Good luck.

He has completely ripped off the -pf-tek- it is EXACLTY the same thing. I would be willing to bet that EVERY syringe that he sells is the 'matias romero' ... with different names. His "secret" "STP inc." substrate, with the "mystery bag of "white powder"" is nothing more than brown rice flour. And the 'ramsey seal' just plain ass sucks. check it out for yourselves people..... these are the 'secret' instructions that come with a $600.00 kit:

Pavlov you are absolutely right, damn what a fuck they are! I mean if your going to rip someone off do it reasonably but 600 bones???
leary fan we are not trying to make you feel bad, live and learn. we all make mistakes but pavlov is right you could have went to pf's site copyed that and done the same thing for less than 50 bucks. I think you should send it back and get your money back and invest it into something that will work for you...if you can still do that.

Well, I did find his way of explaining the PF technique quite reasonable, since it covers many detail newbies arent sure about.
But 600$ for a kit is an impudence.

I know, I know, I got ripped off. MY kit only cost a little over $300.00, though, not 6.
Their rational for charging that much is probably how I rationed it: "even though it's $300,i'll get my money's worth after a couple of flushes".
I feel stupid now, but I refuse to let myself get down about it. I'm going to move on with it. I have the major materials that I need. All I need are LITTLE things to keep it going: more substrate, more blank syringes........I think that's it.
Oh, and I actually didn't pay the full amount myself. My friend and I went in on it 50/50. I recall now that it was ONLY $177 each!!!! What a DEAL!!!! He knows even less than I do. I'll probably be doing most of the work. He split it with me basically because I think he wants to sell his half of what we grow. Fine with me.

I'm definitly not in this to make money, but once it gets rolling, and I have more than enough for personal consumption, i'm sure I could sell a 1/4 here and there to a friend and make it back.
I'm just blocking the thought of getting ripped off out. I'm sure as I get more experienced, i'll realize it more.

Don't feel bad learyfan, I just bought a $125 kit and an expensive spore syringe! I can only hope I can do my best to produce my product with the kit. I did'nt want to try to build a kit and mess anything up. This sucks! I just found the spore trading post on the website. If anyone has advice on building a set-up send me an email.

Taz, what the hell should I do with the kit. I bought the spore syringe so if I can't use their instructions to grow my product then where do I find the info? I have the "Mushroom Cultivator" but it's too technical.

Freind, there is LOTS of info around here, be sure to check out the 'grow/find' . Your syringe will work for any method you use to grow.. you might as well use the kit now that you have it..... what kind of terrarium did it come with? Probably a rubbermaid..... it will work fine.

Yeah, Pavlov it's the rubbermaid kind so I guess I will use it. Drool Donkey has everything I need for info but should I just ignore the instructions from the Spore Trading Post? This pisses me off. I'm usually cautious about this kind of crap but since I had no success with my azurescens strain I figured I better get a kit.

Hey Learyfan, dont be to pissed I'm friggin steaming right now too. I only shelled out $190.00 and that's killing me bro. I threw a lot of money away on their damn spores. It wont happen again. My kit probably wont produce a damn 1/2 an ounce.

Hey ya guys sorry to hear ya got shammed. This might make ya feel better. Several years ago there was an ad in High Times for selling Mushroom kits. There name was Dank Nation. Their ad showed grow kits for Azures, Cyans, and Cubes. I bought a kit and a syringe of each for I believe $140
I never recieved my kit to make a long story short. You guys at least got a little something out of it. Please post some pics
of the "infamous" cube strain when they are ready.

Damn, MPG and firstaid, sounds like we ALL got shammed for about the same amount. As I was telling either Pavlov or Taz, my friend and I went in on this 50-50(i'm doing most of the work, but he took half of the rip). It was about $177 that STP took from me. Pretty close to your situations.
MPG, if that had been me, I would have gotten so frustrated, that I wouldn't have tried again. Sorry to hear that that happend.
Firstaid, you don't need to invest THAT much more money. Go ahead and do it. Hell, I am, why not.

i wouldn't give up, you have everything you need now. maybe you could get a print from the free spore ring. just read up and learn how to make your own syringes, it's easy and you already have one.

a friend of mine bought a mush kit froma head shop in spokane WA, I told him not to do it but he wouldn't listen, paid 70 bones for it and it came with some potting soil bullshit substrate that only produce aroung 10 grams and that was it before it became a contaminated mess.....It's a hrad lesson to learn...they try to sucker you in by telling you it is the "best",,,,,

What I can't figure out is, I was in this forum back when STP was swapping prints for syringes. How did he manage to get on the spore vendors list and I didn't? For that matter Sporelab, Hawkseye and the chicks aren't there either.

If I had not recieved ANYTHING, I wouldn't have ever tried again. I don't know that he should be removed from the vendors list(you're talking about the shroomery links, right?) because he didn't just take my money and run. He took my money, gave me the product, then ran.
Any advice he gave me was "buy this or that" from HIS website. He never mention the shroomery, and probably never would.
If only there were a way to WARN us newbies before it's too late. For me, I got on the shroomery a long time ago, and didn't really know what to look for. I didn't know enough about it to decide who's legit, and who's not.
I decided that i'm either going to pay out the ASS at STP, or risk not getting shit at ALL from another company. I just didn't do enough research. If I had asked around on this board for long enough, I would have realized that there are some very legit people on this board who are willing to help someone who was once in THIER position.

there is absolutely no question about "should he be removed from vendors list". he should immediately be removed. in fact, contact your favorite moderator and suggest it. also, i believe the mods said he would be removed after the last debacle.

I DO agree, that I got ripped off, but here's the deal. I bought this extremely overpriced kit. He didn't make me. He's like the vendors who sold water at Woodstock 99. He's just taking advantage of people who don't know any better.
Right now, my cakes are growing white mycelium all over them, so even though it was overpriced, I am getting what I paid for. He's an asshole, there's no doubt about it, but there's no way I could push this issue. HighTimes would probably e-mail me back and ask me if they put a gun to my head and took my money, or did I give it to them. I think shrooms will grow,so I can't say anything except........
