well I had some that smelt sour once, so I cut them open and they was black inside, rotting) if they isn't any black are dark brown spots on the outside they should be ok, but if it smells sour don't eat em.

Yeah, what Taz said. I think you'll know if they're rotting, they will smell and look repulsive. Don't put fresh mushrooms in a dessicant chamber without pre-drying. I've seen many mushrooms rot because of this common mistake. I wonder why it seems to work so well for PF, maybe because he has a kick-ass dessicant chamber with 20 pounds of Drierite.
