hello guys. when u have the ayahuasca ingrediens u have the DMT and another plant. If you only eat the DMT won't u trip? i mean if you eat just syrian rye (it's dmt source,right?) won't u have a DMT trip?

sorry but i am a newbie in the DMT world

the other plants are to intensify and prolong the effects.  just doing dmt will make you trip but very short.

if im not mistaken i think syrian rue is a MAOI and is used to make it longer, as is caapi.  i thought i read somewhere that rue alone has effects, but me cant remember right now :stoned:

syrian rue is indeed an mao inhibitor, meaning it inhibits one's mao.

the mao is what will eat up the dmt in your stomache. If you just consume dmt without an mao inhibitor to inhibit the mao, the mao will be uninhibited and inhibit your dmt.

neato that tribal peeps figured this out ages ago

Strumpling is right. and it is pretty amazing that of all the plants in the rainforest, they discovered that particular combination. I've been wanting to try ayahuasca for a while, but have been rather reluctant. Think I might go with pharmahuasca instead, to minimize nausea.

The nausea is quite powerful.... this was the only drug (aside from alcohol of course) that made me throw up. It was a pretty wild vomiting session indeed.

After that though, I felt fine. That stuff is quite interesting indeed.

Very bright stuff. My mind seems to put on quite a production for me with the aya

What did you brew up. I got some mhrb, some b. cappi, and some syrian rue right now. My plan is to do an a/b extraction on the mhrb and the salt extraction with the rue, but some seem to prefer the more traditional ayahuasca. Any recommendations? thx

I haven't tried the a/b extraction - I've only done it through traditional means.... I would use the root bark and the rue.

Take the rue a while before you drink the stuff..

A word of warning, it tastes TERRIBLE :wink: but I can get it down

oh and as for other recommendations..... I took a relatively low dose the first time (4 grams of root bark I believe) and put on some nice ambient driftey music, and floated right off my couch.

The 2nd time I listened to more intense music and took 8 grams, laid back in the dark.. That trip was actually kind of hard to remember - I would suggest silence, because it won't stay quiet anyway and you can pay more attention to "what the hell? NO WAY!"
