Basically i wanna know some good trip songs by shpongle because i think it is awesome trip music. Thanks

Shpongle is Simon Posford and Raja Ram. Hallucinogen, Purple Om, Celtic Cross, Anubis, and The Infinity Project are all musical projects related to the members. Shpongle is psychedelic trance (psytrance) or GOA.
My favorite songs are Divine Moments of Truth, Monster Hit, Star Shpongled Banner, A New Way to Say Hooray, Room 23, and Around the World in a Tea Daze.
I think Tales of the Inexpressible is my favorite CD too.

Btw, the cd is a whole different experience when you listen to it all the way through and not just songs. Tales of the Inexpressible is my favorite album, but a new one is soon to come out. Btw, i'm trading that cd if anyone has any ethnobotanicals or anything else that catches my eye to trade, let me know (check out my thread on the marketplace if you want). I also have Hallucinogen - Lone Deranger (look at avatar) for trade. Both are kept in best condition. Edit: I also don't recommend downloading Shpongle for listening pleasure unless it's just to try, because the actual cd has so many more sounds and stuff that mp3's just can't give you. Just like Autechre. When you're tripping, all of these sounds just pop out and you can hear EVERYTHING that the song has to give you

As already mentioned above both albums by Shpongle are very nice, but there is some more Shpongle material out there. For instance "The Seventh Revelation" from the Secret Of The Thirteen Crystal Skulls compilation is another masterpiece of sound manipulation. To find out about these extra tracks check out: http://www.saikosounds.com/english/show_artist.asp?artist_id=209

I /LOVE/ Sphongle, hell, anything Simon Posford touch's is damn gold, although I'd be hesitant to call Shpongle Psytrance (I love psy, its my favorite genre of music).
Some other artists to check out
- Hallucniogen (sp) (Simon Posford) - Celtic Cross - Aluna - Younger Brother - Ott - Juno Reactor
Psytrance, in general - kicks serious ass. Even if you dont like trance (I dont like most trance, its annoying).
Some other psytrance thats great, but nothing like the above.
- Kindzadza - Osom (Over game, amazing track) - Penta - Prana - Dino Psras - Texas Faggott - Growling Mad Scients - 1200 Micograms - Hux Flux - Neelix - Native Radio
.. so much good psy out there (also alot of bad). But, its an amazing genre of music, and partying to it while on shrooms ... *WOW*

I really don't like Juno Reactor, IMO it's boring predictable music (don't take my word for it though). Aluna and Celtic Cross are great. Hallucinogen is kind of like Goa Trance. Do you think Shpongle is trancish? Maybe in a different way. It's like World Psychedelia or something. Trips you the fuck out though, some of it is so insane.

BUY THE CDS.
If you've been hearing mp3s, you're in a for a big suprise when you get the actual CDs and trip to them You THINK your mp3s are crisp and clear.... wait until you hear it CD quality.
-------------------- Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me. In addition: SHPONGLE

Ah yes, gotta agree there, CDs sounds WAY BETTER, and that's just normally, not whilst tripping. I guess some people are more sensitive to audio differences than others, but personally I find uncompressed audio to be much crisper and "wider".
Still though, when you're going outside (tripping), nothing beats the portability and size of an MP3 or minidisc player - takes the weight off you and adds music to nature, and what a combination !
By the way, I'm certainly gonna be purhasing the Shpongle CDs, I've been listening to the sound samples on their website (after wondering what everybody was raving about), sounds utterly brilliant, can't wait to get the proper CDs

Yeah, I gotta get some of their cd's too. What I've heard sounds really trippy, but I still haven't heard them while tripping.

Give it a try with a good dose, you won't be dissapointed, I promise. I'm planning on a 1/8th solo with both of their CD's this weekend. I'm going to fruit fast Saturday untill 6 or 7 pm and start snacking.

Awesome. I had a really good solo trip listening to The Dead, and Phish on my headphones the other night. That was from that 1/8 I got at that show. Good times. I wish I had some more. I gotta get set up to grow one of these days. Only a couple months till hunting season around these parts though.

The Dead always put me in the right place when I'm shrooming. I think I want to shroom at the next Dead show I go to. I never have. I shroomed at Phish at the Gorge last year and it was AMAZING! I want to go see the Dead on New Years, I'm sure they'll play a show in the Bay area for New Years. If you wanna hunt, you should come out this way in the fall. I could show you a spot. The coast is beatiful. Sorry folks, getting a little off topic...
