if a jar is about 80 percent colinized and start pinning, would they be ok if grown invitro?

yes, theoretically it should be okay
i am surprised though
b/c pinning is the mushroom's way to spread after they have expanded as much as possible in a paticular area
you could either grow in vitro
or fruit and cut off uncolonized areas with a sterile knife

no
cut them off, leaving only colonized areas
so there is less room for contams to muscle in
i prob would go invitro though
to keep from fucking with developing pins
don't expose to light so early and you might not have this problem...

Dont expose them to light and keep them at high temps with small gas exchange while colonizing and you should avoid the problem arising to begin with. Dont ask what to do with about a problem you dont have, ask how to avoid getting problems you dont have and then if you do get them ask what to do. I think you'll find you get less problems

Anyone looking to start bulk tubs/mono tubs/shotgun hybrids? Good tubs to use..
How I do grain (old still good tips)
Turn your closet into a fruiting chamber
