Northern Colorado Mushroom Pictures and Hunting
    #2969410 - 08/05/04 08:46 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

I have some property on the Wyoming Colorado State-line area and there are 1000's of acres of cow pastures. The terrain is very semi-desert and dry with grassing open-land pastures. My questions are:

Can any one provide pictures of variety's that can be hunted in this area?

Are there these types of mushrooms in this area?
Gymnopilus sapineus
Gymnopilus liquiritae
Gymnopolus spectabilis
Psilocybe azurescens

What are the relative mental strengths of these mushrooms?

Thank you
Boulder

I don't think azurescens grow in CO.

I still cant get a straight answer about cubensis growing here in CO..reputable vendors sell CO strains, and ive heard many stories of blue staining dung loving mushrooms being found here.
BTW this is the completely wrong forum for this post.

I'll tell you one thing: You will NOT find any hallucinogenic mushrooms growing from DUNG/pastureland in Colorado.

You have a good chance of finding some Gymnopilus, which grows on tree stumps and wood. However, a lot of the times (depending on where you live) they are inactive.

You should take some walks and see what you can find.
