i've decided to use a glass 10 gallon aquarium using perlite humidification. How should i go about creating a way for c02 to escape if i'm going to use a ffish air pump to pump fresh air in if the co2 will sink to the bottom. I will most likely still have to fan it out no?

any ideas?

if you have an air pump going then don't worry about that. as long as you have an escape at the top everything will go just fine.

You are correct CO2 will settle to the bottom period. My question to you is why would you use a glass aquarium when you could use a Sterilite or RubberMaid bin and drill your poly stuffed holes which would force the co2 out any time that air pump in turned on? It's really a way better setup than the ancient aquarium tek and won't require any fanning either!!! GL bro

You stuff poly batting in the holes (works by far the best) 3/4-1in. holes work great BTW

my next question is would a small fish tank air pump be enough for the sterlite container? for addition of fresh air and to force out the co2?

Should if its going constant. Should give you a couple full exchanges per hour which is plenty. I've always seen good reults from the setup your talking about.

Yes it should as long as your using either perlite or hydroton and water/h2o2 at half the depth and an airstone/wand.
