Has anyone else read this book? I just bought it and I didn't realize it was so intense and crazy in the brown paper section.

I bought it at the right time then.  From what I've seen by flipping through it, it looks very engaging.  I'm hoping to read a bit before my trip tomorrow.

The first time I saw it was in San Francisco. I had gotten done laying some blotter and was quite high. My friend had a bunch of books and it jumped right out at me. I looked at it for hours. Even now I still read it. Once in awhile when life get's clouded with desire I go out in the woods and read it.

It's very important to me, for a few reasons.

One time me and a friend had both taken MDMA and were having a conversation about how time was illusory and how all that exists is the moment. I gave him BE HERE NOW to read because I had found it incredibly significant on my first ecstacy experience (a story in itself). Anyway, he was flicking through this book and he reads the following:

"at this moment if you set the alarm to get up at 3:47 this morning and when the alarm rings and you get up and turn it off and say: what time is it? you?d say: NOW, Here! Now, where am I? Here!"

He turns to me and says "If it's 3:47 right now I will never forget this". So we both turned around, looked at the clock, and you guessed it, it was 3:47am.

That was almost a year ago, and we still talk about it often. It was one of those sychronicites that just rang like a bell in the head. The book is a gift.

REMEMBER, BE HERE NOW.

Psychedelics + Be Here Now = Understanding.

It sounds like you trip a lot EllemyshShade. I have a lot of shrooms but I don't use them. I'm afraid of tripping these days cause my life is in the pits and it hurts to have it all exposed at me the way mushrooms do. I think I will try to get a copy of that book.

For me atleast I feel that the book connects more with LSD than shrooms, if you would want to make that type of a connection that is.

That's a great book. My Aikido teacher, who has now passed on, introduced me to that book. I really got alot out of it.

I'm definitely going to have to pick this up...

I don't trip that much anymore.  I used to trip every month, but now I feel only feel comfortable doing the mushrooms every few months or so, as a "reminder."

You don't know how much I hate you right now! I wish I could help relieve you of some of those shrooms!! Shrooms are like gold in this town.

Funny, I was kinda thinking the same thing.

I think this book could help you though, question for joo. Ram Dass kinda went through the same type of thing. Keep an open mind about this book though, I think it might be hard for some people to swallow.
