Some questions about the LARGE mycobags
    #2963845 - 08/04/04 01:07 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

Are you supposed to use these like the smaller bags? I noticed on same of the substrate, like straw, wouldnt you have to use liquid mycelium to innoculate or could you use spores? and the most important question can you fruit them in the bag? thanks

With the large straw based MycoBag a live culture in liquid suspention is best for the most rapid growth. Fruiting "in the bag" (invitro) works best with the smaller bags. If you want to use the large straw I recommend inoculating a small corn bag and once it is 100% use that to spawn to the larger bag directly in your fruiting tray.
Here is an example
Rye-Z-Morph to straw tek - Pleurotus citrinopileatus
This shows a rye-z-morph bag but corn works too

Thanks man, appreciate it. I guess I'll be going with the small bags for a while. Any plans on putting some up on eBay? 10-pack grain possibly? :crossesfingers:
