i didnt know were to post this, and i was wondering if this was possible ive never actually seen a food dehydrator, but after reading alot of posts... i take it to consideration that FAIRLY COLD DRYING is the best way to dry shrooms, SOOO some tek nerd help me out please? here we go:
THE PLAN: take a normal, food dehydrator, remove the heating source, and replace with a cooler unit, ex. refridge cooler, or one of those neat little COOL MATE cooling things on those coolers u can plug into a cigerrete lighter or into the wall?? that was wut i was goin for lol.. .. would this work?? if so, this could be a great invention, ORRRRR someone might have beat me too it, post yur replies, and tell me if this is already invented??? thanx...

it's a little overkill. why not just fab a fan into the structure. it would still be nice and cool drying.

i dry my shrooms like this
1. fan dry for 24 hours.
2. put fan dried shrooms into cleaned crisper compartment of the refridgerator.
3. After they are in the crisper for 24 hours, put into clean qaurt jars.
4. put jars in freezer.

well i guess my question promoted more questions.. like, if i fasion a fan into the dehydrator Felix, how would that be cooler? when id have to turn the bugger on, and all it would be doing is fanning oxygen into it......? i guess im not understanding something.. see i thought that a cooling system, used something like freon or something like that to get rid of the oxygen somewhat .. that would be perfect...

Fan dry for 12 hours then into the dessication station till cracker dry seams to work the best. No need for them to be cold. If they get too cold it can break down thier cell walls when they warm up and cause oxidation.
Fan drying for the first 12 hours drops a lot of water weight quick so u dont use up the dessicant as fast.

There's no need to remove the heater. You can set it at 30 centigrade which is cool enough not to destroy any psilocybin.
