ID help needed please - subs or galerina? * 1

Habitat:
NW Tasmania. Reliable little fruiting patch amongst grass under pine trees.

Gills:
This is what I’m worried about. Are they too light for subs? Concerned that they’re too light for subs?

Stem:
White with blue bruising, 5-7cm long

Cap:
Caramel colour, some nipple cap

Spore print color:
Haven’t done yet but will as soon as I get home

Bruising:
Blue/green on each mushroom

Other information:
In a patch where I’ve found many subs over the years. All younger mushrooms but I’m worried about the colour of the gills. I think they’re too light. All other identifying features, and the location, which is usually reliable, suggests that they’re subs.

Would appreciate any advice here! Thanks everyone!

Thanks @philocybe, but do you think the gills are too orange? I'm a little worried that they're galerinas or is it normal for the gills to be that colour for young subs?

They are cream colored like that when young.  It wont look purplish until it matures enough to produce spores.

not speaking for others (or other forums) but generally here if a TI says it's a psisub, then you can safely trust that it's a psisub

if they're not sure, they'll say so and/or others will chime in from a harm reduction perspective

tldr fwiw i also reckon they're subs and the gills are not too orange

as bloodyc suggested, the gills on both varieties when young can be quite similar shades of beige/cream

obviously it's risky to rely on a single characteristic as there can be slight overlap particularly with closed or partially opened pins

e.g. in situ location, substrate, cap shape and colour, cap margin, stem colour and density, gill colour, bruising, annulus/remnants (or not), spore print, stem base, touch, texture, smell, etc.

it's highly unlikely that you will confuse mature specimens as the galerina veil commonly leaves a ring/mark on the stem and the general galerina colour (an overall orange rusty tinge to me) is more apparent and the galerinas stems and cap margins rarely (if ever ?) bruise blue

OK I see the trusted identifier tag on the usernames now, thanks for pointing that out.

And thank you for the photos to compare @johnnyc, they were super helpful with identifying. I'd heard galerinas were something to be worried about and are hard to tell apart from subs, but the images have helped a lot.

I really appreciate your advice, along with everyone who has taken the time to comment, as it's super valuable for me as a fairly new beginner. Hope I can return the favour one day when I'm a bit more experienced.
