how hard is it to get the spawn out of the jar? With PF cakes that fuckers are hard and would leaver make it out of the lip of the quart jars. Are grains loose even when fully colonized?

Nope, well they can be but I let em get cake like. I lust scoop them out with a big spoon. this shows the jar when I'm about to scoop it.

Would you recommend rye over wbs, and are you saying you put the rinsed rye into the jars and put water into it, and then just pour that dirty water out, then pour the rye into a bowl to simmer it in?

I was just wondering when you start timming your simmer. I had 4lbs of wbs on the stove for 55 min but I would say that the water wasnt nice and hot till about the last 30 maybe less. Is this alright? I get my digi cam today so I can show what my jars look like after pcing

see, this is the shit that i usually get from n00bs...... they oughta just shut their mouths and learn instead of trying to be cool like magash!

i don't see why it wouldn't work. if you look in WBS you will notice that it contains some.
