Need good pictures of Panaeolus subbalteatus
    #2960719 - 08/03/04 05:15 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

Panaeolus subbalteatus is the most widespread psychoactive mushroom in the United States, if not the world. I'm getting ready to put a gigantic guide to hunting Panaeolus subbalteatus including TONS of pictures. So far I have around 50 of my own, but I'm looking to have at least 100 pictures.

If you have *GOOD* pictures(no webcams, crappy lighting, crappy focus) of Panaeolus subbalteatus, please either post them here or email them to me at gumbydude@gmail.com (if they're high resolution pictures, email them to me).

You will recieve credit for your contributions.

Thanks in advance for your help!

A subb-hunting guide sounds great! I think you should try to include as much information as you can on characteristics that separate subbalteatus from foenisecii, since that seems to be the most frequently-asked question on the boards. I hope to see that guide!

Without a doubt, this posting was the greatest Pan Sub photo collection of all time...

But none of the links work. Perhaps angryshroom has those photos stored somewhere.

I've got quite a few pics of foen's as well, I'll be including that in the guide. Now that I've been picking pans for 3 or 4 years, I've finally learned how to tell them appart. I should have the thing done sometime next week, provided I get enough pictures.

Very nice LK. I knew you had a library of mushroom photos and I was hoping you'd come through  Send me as many pictures as you can. The pics that stand out in my mind were the pics you took of subbs growing in a horse field.

Picture size isn't an issue. As long as your mail server can handle the file size, so can mine. Gmail has a 1000mb storage limit

Sorry, no pics here, just a request:
I assume your guide will include a section about where subs can actually be found. Shroomery information is usually pretty much USA based, but I see many members from other regions 'round here. Perhaps it would be nice if some information on other continents/regions is included in your guide. Just my 2 cents.

I'd love to include their world wide distribution, but I am unsure of where they grow. I'll have to collaborate with mj on this one.
