-------------------- Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

Liking a little of each party doesn't make you a hypocrite nor a flip flopper. I tend to agree with the Libertarian party more (Constitutional), I like what classical republicans believe (less government and less taxes), I like the Democrates view on social activities. I'm neither a hypocrite nor a flip flopper.

Same here. You really couldn't pigeonhole me into one party either, although I'm voting Democrat this November.

The title of the thread is not 'which party do you agree with 100%', it's 'which party do you most agree with'.
Needless to say, I chose Libertarian. There are some LP planks with which I do not agree fully on(Immigration) and others with which I do not have enough knowledge to make an informed decision(Environment...LP policy on pollution and the like has always been sketchy). However, they are far and away the group most representative of what this country was supposed to stand for: limited and constitutional government, a free market of abundance and prosperity, a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade. I have come to accept that it is nothing short of idiocy to vote Republican or Democrat and expect this country to change for the better. The quote from Evolving's signature and from this excellent article, The L-Word Is Back, "The status quo isn?t static. It?s the constant increase of state power. The one thing neither party, or candidate, promises is to repeal bad laws and worse spending programs. Both sides are committed to continuing an irreversible accumulation of power," rings extremely true. One party comes in and grows government trying to run your life, then the other comes in trying to do the same their way...neither repeals what the other has done so government becomes more and more the leviathan that Jefferson and Washington feared. Voting for one of the two major parties is a show of support for the enormous spiral downward this country has taken over the last century. I wish people would wise up and realize that the Republicans and the Democrats both want the same thing, more control over your lives. Kerry is not the antidote for the evil incarnate that is George W. Bush and Bush is not the antithesis of liberal Kerry, a conservative that would shrink American government. Time is short people, precious little will soon be left of what this country was supposed to be. The beacon dims.

ah yes the democratic-republican party. lets not forget they sued to be the same thing publicly. now they give off this illusion that they are two seperate entities.
i have yet to decide who to vote for.

Its like Chris Rock says: anybody who chooses a side before they actually hear a specific issue is fucking stupid.
