Hey sorry if this isn't the right place to ask questions about this but I feel like it would be relevant to anyone else who is interested so here goes:

Is there physical inventory, and if so where is it located? I'm not super familiar with the legalities but I'd like to know how the logistics work if you're willing to give a quick overview?

Also why are you getting rid of the biz? Is it not generating a profit?

All good questions!  There is physical inventory left.  From spawn bags, inoculation loops, disposable petri dishes, vermiculite, the list goes on.  The remaining inventory is in Pittsburgh, PA.  Over the last 6 months, we've been dwindling down the inventory (see all the sales on the site) in preparation for the sale of the business.  That being said, when you need to restock, we have a complete list of suppliers and their contact information. 

As for profitability, it's still profitable (we will send financials to a qualified buyer).  However, over the last 6-9 months, we've taken a back seat to the SEO and the sites overall management.  Our google analytics have dropped (1.03 million impressions in the past 12 months) but that's because we're not putting the time in.

The main reason for the sale is that after 25 years, we're ready to move on.  It's been fun and enjoyable.  But its just time to go to greener pastures!

The business would be great for someone looking for part or full time work.  If you put resources back into promoting the site, full time.  Being an online business, a background in web development would definitely help.  But if you implemented AI, you could kick start a sales campaign easily.

I still use the first lids I ever bought, moving away from tyvek lids to SFD, back in 2011 ish, the only thing I had to do was permatex the filters after MANY cycles of use some years back.  I haven't had to since.  All the best, to you and the rest... and GL Thank You.
