Old Psilocybe subaeruginosa blue mountains Australia

I think these are Psilocybe subaeruginosa but they've dried out a bit. Not sure if there still any good
Habitat
Woodchip Garden bed
Gills:
creamy brown crowded older ones are a darker brownish

Stem:
Length 2-5cm thickness 2-4mm white colour lots of blue/black bruising solid/woody feel.

Cap:
2.5cm-5cm diameter caramel brown with blue bruising

Spore print color:
Violet/purple but most didn't drop a print

Bruising:
Blue bruising

They all look like Subs to me.

As far as, are they worth keeping, My opinion is yes.

The only one that looks so so, is the cap (stem is fine) on the first big mushroom (very top right) from this picture.  The rest are all ok :thumbup:.

They’re just dried out. If it happened to rain more, the caps would absorb more moisture and look fresher again. I used to think once the caps looked like this, that they were done growing, but it’s all moisture dependent. They can go through this cycle multiple times and will continue growing as they get more moisture.

I did not know this about the regrowing side Thank you.

OP. Yep theyre fine afaik. Just think of your button mushrooms in the fridge after a few days
They always go a bit pruney too but they're still edible if not mushy or stinky
