5-MeO-DMT sitter

Hi. I've watched many videos of people smoking 5-MeO-DMT. What looks like is that it is impossible to smoke it without a sitter since people make a lot of uncontrollable movements, puking, crawling around etc...

What about you? You always go to a 'shaman' to smoke it? Or do you have your sitter by your side always?

Can you compare it with DMT as well? Do you smoke DMT alone without a sitter?

The reason I am asking is I really don't want to smoke it with a person who claims to be a shaman. Neither with the accompany of my wife since she would simply freak out if she sees me tripping this way :smile:

I am an experienced user of psychedelics. Had hundreds of trips during my 44 years on earth. But I have never smoked 5-MeO-DMT.

Looking for your 5 cents, dollars, pesos...

For the risk profile, and how far I tend to go, 5meo risk profile doesn't seem worth it for me. I've smoked DMT countless times alone, but 5meo just never appealed.

I know that's not an answer to your question sorry :tongue2:  Someone else will come along no doubt.

ditto, 5meo-dmt sucks, nn-dmt is wonderful. No comparison except both hit fast and strong.

some people like how strong and fucked up the 5meo makes you feel. I do not like horror films either. maybe if you want to ride fear for 8 minutes it is a cheap thrill.

Coming back to "sanity" after the ride might be why some people look at it religiously, they can be tortured for their sins and then have their souls shrived. but that is kinda stupid.

I actually smoked 5meo before nn-dmt. I definitely didn't get it from or do it with a shaman, a friend had bought "toad venom" online and sold me some. The first big experience was in a room with a bunch of tweekers that were friends with the girls I was hanging out with. I wasn't into that, but it felt like a "safe" place to do it to early twenties me. Aside from some background comments like "yo fuck that, he looks fucked up, I don't ever want to be that high" and "that shit smells nasty"...it was safer than most places I could have picked.

Anyways, the 5meo made it feel like my throat was closing and I was dying. It was somehow more beautiful than that sounds though, and I wasn't scared. I don't remember it being very visually stimulating, in fact the peak was more like fuzzy nothingness. I'm sure it would been different in a different setting. One of the girls I came with was super worried about me, and that feeling affected my experience for sure. I did do it a handful more times in smaller doses, I'm sure a couple times were alone.

I like nn-dmt better honestly, and have worked with it a lot more, group and solo. There are similarities between the two IMO, the overall body feel and headspace is similar. NN-DMT is a more colorful experience, especially ACRB extracts for whatever reason. It feels more like interacting with another dimension, than fading out to me.

I'll add that my 5meo experiences were 20+ years ago. I would likely try it again if the opportunity presented and felt right, but nn is easy to extract and preferable, so I'm not seeking 5meo out.
