from what ive heard, most of these polls done by national newspapers, magazines and such arent accurately projecting the outcome of the election. most agree that the election will be decided by independent and new voters. people who arent likely to subscribe to things like news week or usa today. so are there any independents (people who have voted for candidates of both parties) around here? or how about people voting for the first time?? where do u stand, who are u voting for? are you still undecided? what issues are swaying u one way or the other?

That is one hell of a switch.

I dislike both candidates. They're both rich. What we need is someone who's poor to become president. Like that straggled out dude in the middle of Harvard square bummin for survival. Those mutherfuckers will do shit for the people no other president would do.

When I was doing a voter registration project, I met a guy who seemed like a true independent. He doesn't like Bush, but he voted for Arnold Schwarzenegger. He kept talking about how he believes in the whole "May the best man win," idea.

Clinton came from a lower-class background, and we all saw how that turned out.

And Lincoln was one of the most tyrannical presidents we've had. What's your point?

What brings you to use Clinton as an example of a bad president?

I'm not saying he was an exceptionally bad president. Just that he was another scumbag politician like all the rest. The fact that he was born into poverty did not make him any better of a politician.

I'm aware of the fact that my views have changed a great deal in the past year or so. I try to be wary of the Libertarian party as well, and realize that they're not perfect either. I'm not saying Clinton was that bad of a president(though Waco was certainly an example of tyranny if I ever did see it). Just that he's not that different from other presidents with privileged backgrounds.

I am not a member of any political party. I see myself a centrist. I believe in the two party state. I think the that the two parties should be the Libertarian and the Republican party. The Democratic party has outlived its use. Somebody needs to tell that the Great Society is over and done with.
Ronald Wilson Reagan came from humble beginings. He went on to become an American Icon. His dad was an alcoholic that couldn't hold a job, yet he grew up to free hundreds of millions of people by winning the cold war.

liberatian and republican party should be the only two? Yeah, lets take the right wing, and the extreme right wing. That is in NO way centrist just so you know.
back to the topic: I'd call myself an independant, and I'm voting green this election.
Kerry= Bush= please god, no
Only voting Cobb as I'm not in a swing state and think that a third party should come to the light, last election they came closest to getting national funding. Plus, they should regulate many of the things I believe *need* to be regulated.
