Can I recycle finished cakes?

I was just curious if there is anyway to recycle your cakes after they are done popping shrooms? Like maybe putting cakes in steralized cow manure or even more vermiculite and rice powder?

The thing I worry about in recycling is the cakes exposure to the air has the possibility of contams growing on the new substrait. How the hell are you going to keep contams from being introduced?

Should someone just blob some manure or something over the cakes (broken up of course) and call it a day? Or should there be a procedure, maybe to slice the outer parts of the cake?

What are some common methods?

Not at all, but I immagine it's easy.

I have heard of people doing it around my area. This dude grows a pound per month and recycles the mycelium.
