Ok so Adom pulls up on Thursday afternoon. He met up with another friend and his friends girl, who followed him to my place. We then loaded up what i thought was all the gear i needed....
So as we are pulling out of the driveway, i light up a nice fatty, and Adom and i begin to enjoy the sweet homegrown...
Well not far from my place, and half the joint later, we pull into our small little town of Palo, which also happened to be the destination of who you might ask...enter several hundred Ragbri riders..
friend here..i'll pick up where i left off in a minute!

So here we are fried in small town Iowa in the middle of hundreds of bikes who were going the opposite direction we were, forcing us to turn around and look for an alternate route to Palisades park. Oh, his friend, and friends girl had to make a stop, so they were going to meet us at Palisades park.
So after we get back on the right track, we spark up the remainder of the first of many joints to come.
We pull into Palisades, it's right about now that Adom informs me that he's pretty fried, and feeling good. We try to find the most secure location to set up our camp site. So we pick out a site and set up camp. About this time we smoke another one. His friend and his friend's girl show up not long after. We all start drinking some brews, and puffing some more of the homegrown. We head fishing... Adom bags the first catfish! Little bastage!....They again were'nt biting worth a shit. His friend and girl take off from the river back to camp and we give it awhile to no availe then headed back to camp, where his friend and friend's girl are pretty wasted from the brew, and being pretty load. Well the DNR are all over and needless to say stopped by to tell us to keep it down.. God damn DNR were fucking by once an hour it seemed!..So anyway his friend and girl finally leave the next day, which probly was a good thing... End day 1...

So it's Friday, been raining since early am, and did'nt let up till 11:00 or so, so we took this time to run into town and show Adom where the theatre is so he don't get lost on way in or out. We also had to stop by my brothers house, to borrow a few things, cause yours truly is never prepared, spent the first night with no long sleeve shirt, or pillow, or blanket! We start out with some more smokage, and head though the day. Well as we are listening to a bit of Dead on Adoms car radio i think i hear some strange effect or something, because i'm hearing Franklins Tower, but Adom is'nt playing it.. So we figure out the 3 kids across from us are playing some Dead tunes, so we decide to wonder over and see if they have a glass piece, cause someone, i won't mention who, forgot his glass! So the kids are from Wisconsin, and here to see String Cheese as well. Well they did'nt have a pipe either, so being the crafty little camper he is, Adom whips up a potato pipe to smoke a bit of buddage in, which worked really well. We did manage to get 2 cat's 2nd day.. Adom another channel, and i got a small flathead. Day 2 was pretty slow.. oh more DNR natzi patrols telling us to watch the noise ..blah blah..smoke some more and hit the hey. So day 2 comes to a close..

So Saturday comes.. I notice more concert goers coming in, and direct them to the site next to ours, because well the more heads the better  These 2 cats are from Il. and pretty cool fellows, and guess what they have... GLASS! bye bye potato!!..
So around Saturday afternoon guess who pops in, but our very own Kosmic Charlie!! Oh, guess who didn't even bother to mention to me that KC was coming down. So that was a way cool surprise, we smoked more, made some trades, and then they all headed in for the show, while i stayed to hold down the fort. tick toc, tick toc.. dang how boring.. so i go take a nap.
So around midnight here comes the 3 cars of concert fans.. some tripping their god damn balls off, cause someone spotted someone selling liquid skateboarding thru downtown.. lucky bastards!!..
Now not long after they arrive i munch a chocolate..then a bit after that, i eat another one...ummm ummm good stuff! It's about this time were the story is going to split off and your going to get 3 stories of events that took place late that night in a little place called Palisades park, where the DNR are the suck, and the fishing not alot better..but hey.. i'm going to make you wait till Adom and KC make it home to tell ya about my adventure, and they can tell ya theirs!.. till then boys and girls....

so did you guys camp with the ragbrai riders at that Palisades Park or did you guys just go through a town that that was a ragbrai stop....

Went thru a town where Ragbri was coming through, and basically got caught in it like someone going to the wrong way on a one way street, and being so ripped it wasn't fun getting outa there at all..was just sorta a bump, of many bumps on our outing...

They were rocking! I'll tell ya how my trip went on em after a bit, i'm stil up from yesterday/last night so going to have to hold off a couple hours to hear the rest of the last night and today.

any bass in that lake of yours
i just came back from a fishing trip
we knoked the hell outa them
in 30 min we had 3 good 5 pounders and the day befor my dad cought 11 bass in about an hour and kept a few real big ones 
no catfish though 
i coulda gone catfish fishing but i was tierd

good to hear KC, you rock bud. Hope we can hook up again sometime soon.
Ok so it's late Saturday night.. i down a chocolate and chill a bit. Around 30 minutes to an hour later i decided maybe one more. Down goes the second one. Well about the time i'm finishing the second, the first is kicking in. At frist it did'nt seem to be kicking that well. I didn't realize how well i was doing until i wondered up into the restrooms. The light made me realize as i walked in and could see more, that infact i was getting some intense vids, and decided that this little magical wonderfully delicious chocolates were the way to eat mushies! Very enjoyable to eat. The bad part about the whole ideal is the DNR fucking with us, threatening to kick us outa the park for barely making any noise at all. Well everyone crashes out except the 2 cats from Il. and myself. As dawn aprouches, we see a sweet sunrise. There were pinks and purples ripping across the sky, which was pretty cool. It was'nt till a bit later that KC finally managed to climb outa the hammock. He tells me that Adom did'nt even trip at all last night, which was a bummer, so we were like bah we can't let him go home empty handed.. so as we were packing up, we talked about more good times, KC made sure Adom had a candy for the road to take with him. We said our goodbyes and headed out. Well for the most part these are some of the events i remember. All in all even with the DNR being total buttheads, it was still a good time. Adom and KC are 2 cool kats for sure.
Well i guess Adom and KC can help fill in the blank spots, and let you all know how the show went when they get a chance. Later for now. Really hope to party with some other shoomerites soon, especially kindkesey, so i would'nt feel so old /giggle.. Cool kats, good times.

Nice description! Alot more went on but I really ain't up to digging in the well of memory's right now.. Hopefully soon... I had a great weekend in a beautiful area that I will remember for years to come, thanks to KC and iluan for everything, you bro's rock! even if iluan is as crazy as Iowans come

How about them coons that got into our neighbors tent. These kids camped accross the road from us left their tent open and a mother and 5 coons got into it and ran sacked it ! Then about an hour later they came up to our fire and watched us for a few minutes before I chased them off with my flashlight. Them little bastards will destroy everything!
