Shoebox incubator

I have a shoebox with some jars in it, and some socks in there to keep them from falling over, and a heating pad set on low sitting on top of it. The temp has stabalized at around 83 F inside of it. Will this work almost as efficient as a tub in tub incubator? I think these jars might be hopeless because ive set the heating pad on high and the temp got up to 97 + when i was tweaking it to get it right. Do you think the myc is still alive?

Why do you even post since all you have to say is things like this? I'm posting about other teks so i'll know what i want to do with my spores

Well, it will work good for the temp, which is very important. But the humidity cant be too good in there although it doesnt really matter.

Just make sure to get some fresh air in there a few times a day once the jars are 50% colonized
