I also prefered poultry during my meating eating days. Chicken and Turkey.
I was also big on seafood.
Beef, I could take it or leave it.
Pork products I was never very fond of.

Apparently humans taste like pork... burn victims have claimed they could smell roast pork.

You forgot freegan. That means you don't pay for food when at all possible and choose, instead, to dumpster dive, table score, garden and forage wild foods. It's about realizing how much good food goes to waste every day and living off the wastefullness of the rest of the world rather than supporting consumerism. I eat really well this way. Some freegans are also veggi or vegan, I usually prefer vegan food but I'll eat eggs or meat if I can get em (although its usually harder to dumpster eggs and meat that are still edible.) A good way to get good meat is finding fresh roadkill (that got hit in the head, not the body) an skinning and preparing it yourself. It's a good way to ethically eat meat (its dead anyways and its better to eat it then let it rot...) and its a good way to get protein. It's also spiritually satisfying. I havn't learned how to skin animals yet, so thats something I gotta do.

***living off the scraps of the rest of the world rather than supporting consumerism.***
more like waiting for consumerism to throw away their trash, which is what you get to eat.
anyways, for me - i like both! meat and vegetables. how can you only choose one? i chose meat though.

I meant for the Meat option to include an omniverous diet.
I stopped eating meat for 3 main reasons: 1.) BSE (Mad Cow) 2.) Karma & 3.) Sustainability

I'm familiar. Have you ever read Evasion? Great book (true story) about this vegan, straightedge kid who lives exclusively off dumpster diving, shoplifting, etc.

I eat fish/shellfish, chicken and turkey. I try to avoid beef because it's hard on your body. I only have one kidney so I try to eat healthy. I am omnivorous.

i often get compelling urges to walk up to cattle and take a nice big bite. then the smell brings be back to my senses. i can understand the vegie/vegan compulsion for the most pary, but i'm very much a predator by my own nature and i couldn't see pretending otherwise.
