thanks. I am a little less worried. but when my cakes were in the jars...I had them in a dark drawer so there was NO light until I birthed them. Anyone else have an opinion on flipping. I am really hoping it doesn't make a difference here.

i think the theory is you would want to flip so that the top of the cake which is a little bigger is set down onto a layer of moist verm so with the increased surface area comes more water absorption. If you are only casing one side of the cake then id suggest casing the bigger end of the cake no matter if it was top/bottom in the jar. Also begin letting the cakes get 1/2 hour of light a day of indirect light i find direct sunlight for too long can heat the jars and start condensation problems. this should give you some primordiates by the time you birth to the terrarium.
