Help with ID

Just happened across these...

They were growing on a fertilized lawn. In west michigan, just after a bit of rain. They are pretty small and grew in a spread out sort of cluster.

spore print is brownish.

They are pan foes i think because a pan subbs spore print is jet black plus those stems are too skinny for pan subbs.

Panaeolina foenisecii (lawnmower mushroom, haymaker mushroom)

These have been misreported as active in some field guides, but I assure you they are not. I have eaten large quantities of these and experienced nothing but nausea. A few poisonings in small children have been reported from this mushroom. They are one of the two most common lawn mushrooms.

Keep looking, I think liberty caps are reported in Michigan.

I agree, Pan foens all the way. That gill structure just screams foens.
