Another day, more finds

So I decided to head up again this morning, this time to the Berthoud Pass and Fraser Experimental Forest areas. And I found a few interesting things. It seemed to be drying out somewhat in those areas. I hope that's wrong, and that it rains good up there.

First, here's a few early chanterelles:


And here's one that I don't recall seeing out here before, even though they aren't really rare. These are Cystoderma fallax.

Cool pics as usual TM. I checked my book on the Cystoderma fallax and it said the edibility was unknown. Are those things good to eat?

I have no idea. I've never eaten them. Offhand I don't know anybody who has, either. They don't have a lot of flesh, so there wouldn't be a whole lot to eat it you wanted to.
