Datura Inoxia Leaf Extraction via Acetone
    #2940860 - 07/29/04 01:55 PM (19 years, 7 months ago)

Is currently going on. I wish to refine the steps more, and add to a thick lotion to make sort of an "annointing" oil.

Updates regularly.

Okay some help please.

I soaked the leaves in acetone twice, then put both soaks of acetone into a cup after filtering the leaf matter.

The acetone is dark, dark green. Almost black. When I look at the bottom, there is this white substance starting to form.

It's like there is a wax or resin falling down to the bottom and starting to settle.

If you're not looking to do anything fancy, you could probably just evaporate it off and add it to some vaseline or something. It might stain your skin though probably not for long or it might wash off.

I still think this is a little dangerous though.

Be Safe.

Safety is my number one priority when it concerns usage of this plant.

An update:

I used about a cup and a half of Vasoline, and the resin from about a half ounce fresh leaves.

Last night I used probably a nickel sized amount of the resinated vasoline on my wrist, and it soaked in, but to no effect.

What do I need to make this stronger?

melt the vaseline a little when you mix it in so you get a good homogeneity in your vaseline, then let it cool and re colloid then try rubbing it in.

How much was your starting material? Also ,i wonder why you used acetone, is atropine and scopolamine reasonably soluble in this solvent? (im not doubting,im just trying to elucidate some steps)

I have a little idea that could make it more effective and the disclaimer of "intelligent, mature, stable" person applies here as well since this can get dangerous : Try mucous membranes starting with unreasonably tiny quantity. At least that was the "witches way".Be very conservative and very carefull thoughwait a full day or more before reapplying the lotion. Areas of mucous membrane are usually the genitalia, mouth and anus.Choosing a mucous area easily accesible earns extra "intelligence" points, since you will be able to remove the lotion if required (which could be difficult if the lotion is applied somwhere the sun canot shine!)

I heated it up to liquid, then let it cool down and re-solidify.

I took a small amount and rubbed it on the inside of my gums.

Awaiting effects...

Try rubbing it on you genitalia. There are lots of veins close to the surface down there. As far as I know, this is the traditional area of application.

No effects were felt from small amounts, no effects were felt from larger amounts.

I had a friend try smoking alot of the leaf, to no effect.

This plant is 100% for sure Datura Inoxia. Wouldn't smoking alot of the leaf have at least a small effect?

You are dealing with a fairly weak spp of Datura. As for smoking the leaves, if you dry them at too high of a temp, they won't be active at all. It takes a good bit of the seeds for me to even start seeing closed eye visuals and such. Just try to make a stronger ointment next time. Also remember one reason a lot of people redose when they shouldn't and end up in the hospital/funeral home, is that the thresh hold effects are not vey noticable. The only way I can generally tell is a distinct dryness and taste in the back of my throat.

I have smoked much Datura metel leaf and to no effect (up to 3 large leaves). I'm not sure if my plants have good alkaloid content or not, but i have been growing them for a long time and they should be very good.

what are you expecting as far as the effects go? I mean maybe you just aren't noticing the subtle changes.. sound to me like you should be messing with datura.. Theres a fine line between her pleasant effects dose and her emergency room dose. MrMindsEye is right, stramonium is rather weak as far as alkaloids go, but it is still datura.. and it has sent many curious people to the ER.

I suggest simply to stop playing with her. If you can't enjoy the subtle effects , which are hard to notice at all, then your going to end up hurting yourself. Please just be carefull my friend. She's a tricky little bitch.
