My garden update
    #2943876 - 07/30/04 10:18 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Hawiian babay woodrose,

The 6' tobaccos,

I also just ordered 100 san pedro seeds and 50 peyote seeds. I already have a choped pedro that im waiting for some pups and a 4' cuting. I plan to graft the peyote onto some of the pedro's, but still have some plain pedros.

Now here is a person that even future "ethnovendor" busts will leave untouched!

Spread the seed, you are doing a nice work.

Couldnt more people be doing it? I am very happy when i see people planting!

I see spores ahead of strange plants on the general DEA chopping block. (which is impossible to stop as well... they're freaking spores) Second, they didnt even get all the RC suppliers... They cant possibly get every entheovendor. Thirdly, I'm going to seed texas with cubies in retribution for the busts:)

Anyways, on topic....

Did you grow that HBWR from seed, gr0wer?

yep i bought a bunch of HBW's from iamshaman and i paper towel germed 5 seeds, 5 poped. I planted two but i pulled the other one when i realized how big they will be. Its about 4-5 months old now in a 2gal pot, its been transplanted once starting it in a 6" pot. its growing in a 75/25 peat/manure compost mix and showing healthy growth with no feedings. Im hoping for flowers and seeds next year, ill be pulling it in over the winter under a 70hps allong with 2 pedros growing from cutting and 127 seedlings i planted today.

I have tons of tobacco seeds and will have another strain in a few weeks, no one seems to want any.. :frown: I only had 3 trades so far and have a big bag of seeds.

Have a pic? Are you keeping it rootbound to control its size?

It hasn't gotten the point where it needed to be repotted yet, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do when it does. It's in a probably 1 1/2 gallon pot and it's still somewhat small but getting bigger. I don't have a pic yet, but I'll take one sometime in the near future sense my web cam is working again.

I don't remember what the soil mix is, and I'm not actively growing it organically, but I haven't used any fertilizers, other than egg shells, to date, but this is the second plant I've had in this pot and the egg shells are from the first. I remember adding perlite and vermiculite to the soil, but I don't remember what type of potting soil it was, I think it may have been organic potting soil now that you mention it.

Nice one!

I have some valeriana growing,Passiflora and on my seed rack is Psychotria viridis ,A.Columbrina and peregrina HBWR and Ololiuqui. A friend of mine ordered some nicotiniana rustica (although not a smoker but interested in tobacco use amongst native americans) and planted it in leaf compost (thats what we call in in Greece,"soil" that comes from decomposing leaves). Its not a big pot but the plant is going splendid,i am amazed by its big leaves and robust stems...Ah,biological nanomachinery at its best...Funny thing its growth and shape is governed by a double helix strand! I noted some tricjhome (small heair) on his tobacco,is this a common trait in tobacco family?

Grower ,is your tobacco Rustica?

Oh,This thread along with other growing threads gets me very excited.I do not want to bust ethnovendors but i am a bit scared of what will happen of them. Selling seeds is amazing, growing them is extraordinary and spreading those plants is beyond extraordinary! I guess my love for nature and growing runs in my family, but i have recently discovered it.My grandpa used to have a small field where he had many trees with edible fruits and he experimented with various forms of grafting.Damn,i wish he was alive i could talk hive into becoming a "Grandpa Ethnovendor"!

Apart from that i have a question.Does anyone feel like he has developed an....ummm...obsession with his/hers plants? I check them out everyday ,study their structure and generally like them alot.So much that i preffer them growing than drying in a drying chamber

The HBW is 4-5 months old.

My tobaccos have thrichomes all over too, when working wih teplants harvesting you get your arms all sticky. Its no where near as bad or shoudl i say good as harvesing MJ but it does get you covered. I didnt think to note if i was geting a nicotine high from it seeping through my skin. Im not sure of the scientific name, its monte calmine, havana, and jasmine.

I look at my plants every day too, its simply because they need to be watered every day. Well now that i harvested the bottom half of the tobaccos its only every other but whenever im outside i always look at the flowers and such waiting till i can start collecting seeds!
