first time karo

I'm attempting to do the karo tek. I followed the tek pretty close, probably used a splash more honey than was req'd, but I think it will be ok. PCd the mix for about 15 mins. let it cool off, and injected it into my last pf jar. I let it sit in the jar for a few minutes, and sucked most of it out.

in the process of shaking it up, some of the verm from the contam shield fell around the cake. a lot of verm powderish stuff ended up in the water, and some very fine looking verm ended up in the syringe. is this going to hurt me? or is this normal. any help is much appreciated =)

Shouldnt hurt at all if it was all clean. You might find the growing mycelium attaches its self to the particals, but this isnt a problem that a shake cant cure.

good idea man, i just used the honey tek and was AMAZED at the speed of colonization. the honey took about a week to colonize, then i popped it in the fridge.
