Someone said here once that the war against terror is like rooting out a tumor on someone's arm (in this case, the tumor is Islamic fascism and the 'someone' is Islam/Muslims/Arabs) - you can cut the Arm right off, but at the same time you're going to severely piss off the guy for taking such an extreme measure. Or you can go in their with surgery and remove it carefully while the guy is not angry at all, except for a few itchy nerve endings at the incision (the last very few die hard jihadist thugs) that you can easily get rid of over time with some cream.
John Kerry is desperately needed as President because he would be an internationalist President, and this is a MUST if we want to stop seeing the West clashing with the Islamic East.

I can't wait until October either... Kerry is a master of debate, he's been doing it every since he got back from saving lives in Vietnam.

How will Kerry defend his votes for the PATRIOT Act and the War? How has he explained that yet? (link?)

For one thing, the Patriot Act is shit and needs reform.
Kerry's vote against the 87 billion is complicated as it was a protest of sorts - i.e., Kerry knew the 87 billion was going to pass anyway.

To add on to what Tao is saying, how is this 'Master of Debate' going to explain his claims of creating 10,000,000 new jobs when he plans to roll back tax cuts on those making >200,000(undoubtedly including many small business owners), raising the minimum wage(which always leads to an increase in unemployment), and generally raising taxes to pay for all his new and excellent government programs to cure the ills of society and make everyones life all-around excellent?

We'll see in October. Kerry's a fairly smart guy. He has it figured out economically, he's a Democrat.

Thanks for the clarification. You've won my vote for him!

His current defense of his war vote (for those who are curious)
Quote:
Q: Do you regret your war vote?
KERRY: No. I do not regret my vote. I regret that we have a president who misled America and broke every promise he made to the US Congress. We did not give the president any authority that the president didn't have. Did we ratify what he was doing? Yes. But we changed the dynamics by getting him to agree to go to the UN and to make a set of promises to the nation. Promise number one: He would build a true global international coalition. Number two: he would honor the UN inspection process. And number three -- and this is most important -- He said he would go to war as a last resort. He broke every single one of those promises.

Because he, like so many other Americans was fooled into trusting Bush.

crazy: Google "kerry bush debate" and look at the results. You wouldn't think a phrase like that would come back with almost exclusively results that make bush look bad.

You want to say that Kerry is a sort of a person that can be easily deceived, right?

Kerry (along with all the other spineless rubber-stampers in congress) was derelict in his duties as a senator. Why didn't he read the Patriot Act? Why didn't he question the administrations intelligence on Iraq? Will we get the same lack of attention to important details from him as commander in chief? His track record is pretty shoddy of late.

In case you never noticed, both Republicans and Democrats want in the White House. It's a two party system.

Only now has it come to light, thanks to the deepthroat effors PuZuZu. Whoever these "Democrats" are, they want to get into the White House. May God help us all from this violent domestic insurgency.
