Wow.

I may or may not know what ego death is, but I certainly was shown many parts of my psyche today.

I came away with a couple important life lessons:

1) Hiding away in your house all day is not the way to live life to the fullest.  You need to go out and donate your time and yourself.  Become a mentor, help your community, and otherwise give.

2) Having a role model is a good thing.  Mine is John Carmack.

3) Never stop learning.  In my early-middle age, I have become lazy and have not taken it upon myself to keep my mind sharp.  This laziness feeds upon itself, and causes you to feel more lazy in the end.  It sucks up your energy and gives nothing back.  Break the cycle.

Never trip without electronic-yahtzee.

Man with no name 0wnz.

There was a trip reprt where a moth telepathically asked a person "do you know why your here?"

He said no.

The moth later said something along the lines of "Learn all you can before you go away" as it flutterred off.

There are so many different types of learning. I'm a computer geek, and I know them inside and out. When it comes to poetry, music,art... I haven't the first clue, yet my profession of a computer programmer requires me to be creative and compose things from nothing. The majik cubes give me a window into a world that is normally beyond my grasp, which is a world of feelings and heart. That's what first attracted me to them.

So, I can fill my head with logic and books... but to me, the real interesting stuff, is the world that I can only have a peek at a few hours at a time. I want to learn to sense and feel things like other people do. I would say that is my goal in life, because once I have achieved this.. I will be part of life, and not just a confused observer.

Does that make any sense?

I'd think you are a part of life no matter what. You can try and be worldy and think positive about things to get through life a little better then normal, but at times like myself i'm stuck in a daze of how should i occupy my time. I try to do things that may effect myself in a positive light like reading books and enjoy the thoughts of my spirituality as i gaze into the sun. But i am also attacked by the unkindlyness of lazyness. I also want to get into computers but i have lost my edge, my drive.

Now when you talk about the interesting stuff that you can only peek at for hours at a time. It is more like moments in time for me as something deep and heart felt appears but slowly slips away. Wish thoughts like that could be longer felt and expressed more in my personal life. My girlfriend is a christian and very religious and thinks of this web board as weird and isn't really open to discussions other then under the topic of God. So i'm stuck to myself most the time with random chats with Shroomism and Kaoiwas and the usual readings of posts and the occasional response.

"Does that make any sense?" - Definetly does. The more you seek to be apart of life the more life reaches back out towards you.

Peace and keep the thoughts flowing,
Droz

"Having a role model is a good thing. Mine is John Carmack."
