Fruiting on agar question
    #2938784 - 07/29/04 01:19 AM (13 years, 10 months ago)

I was wondering how long it would take to see pins on agar? Also, if I innoculate with mycelium how long do you think it would take a dish from innoculation to pinning?

They will grow off of the agar in the right conditions. I guess you could technically colinize a petre dish and try casing it. It doesn't take more than a week to colonize the dish. Once colinized, I don't know how long it will take to fruit.

It depends on the species and the strain. Once the dish is fully colonized it takes from 1 week to form pins with Psilocybe cubensis or Flamullina velutipes and up to 4 months with Psilocybe semperviva & Psilocybe zapotecorum.
