Grind up freshies
    #2936291 - 07/28/04 03:01 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

If one didn't have time to dry them out, could they be ground up with a coffee grinder while they are still fresh, and then perhaps put into chocolate?

If you mean grinding them up right after you pick them and putting the substance into chocolates, then to be honest with you I really couldn't tell you the result. I do know that after about 24 hours of drying you can grind them up even though they will still be a little little wet and put them into chocolates. I think your main problem would be being able to fit enough actual bulk of wet mushrooms along with the chocolate into any sort of mold; thus you would have to make some sort of gigantic chunk of chocolate filled with chopped up shroom goo...id wait the 24 hours. Oh yeah this is my first post so hello everyone~

Got a question about a substance?  Erowid might already have your answer! Have questions about the  mushroom experience? The  Tripper's FAQ may have your answer or someone else might have had your question before.

if you're going to grind them up fresh, best to mix them with OJ.

whenever you put water or moisture into a baking chocolate or into chocolate 'bark', it really screws up the chemistry of the chocolate and doesn't end up setting right.

i'd agree with djd596, put them in a blender with some oj and blend them up. then, keep them in the refridgerator or something.
