KoRn, Linkin Park, ......
    #2932472 - 07/27/04 12:44 PM (19 years, 8 months ago)

These bands kick ass, I love the hard head-banging drum patterns and eerie guitar tunes they produce..

Anyone know of any specific good songs from these groups, or any other groups that make similar music?

Also, you know of any good places to download free music? I had kazaa but took it out because of all that court case shit with the big music companies (fuckin pricks, ill never pay for music, hehehehe  )

Haha, thanks guys.

Korn is a great band, can't say the same for linkin park though; they kinda suck....For korn get One (metallica cover), ADIDAS, Blind, Dead Bodies Everywhere, Falling Away From Me, Freak On a Leash, Good God, Got The Life, Make Me Bad, Thoughtless, Wake Up, Ball Tongue, Swallow, Alone I Break, Ya'll Want A Single, and for some cool sounding vocals get Twist and X-Mas Song.

lots of amazing songs

i think Korn and Linkin Park sucks

but OLD Korn is good.. their first CDs were good.
my favorite is "chi"

my theory is when they stopped doing drugs, they started sucking.

and look up soulseek for a file sharing program. its very good.

Korns first album is the best. I was into these guys for years, and then stopped listening to rock pretty much all together.

The most classic example of that is Stone Temple Pilots. What an awesome band that went really shitty. I got Korns first album and liked it back in the day. Haven't listened to them much in the past five or so years. Some stuff by Linkin Park is alright I guess, but most of it seems like pop shit. By that, I mean that it relies too much on sounding catchy. Just my opinion though.

what do you mean stopped doing drugs? Scott Weiland was doing drugs on and off throughout STP's entire career.

Korn's early stuff rocks, but they started to suck later on. Linkin Park has always sucked.

Linkin Park is pure shit, havent really listened to Korn enough to know what they are really like.

But if you want good music download some TOOL that is some LSD/Shroom/Peyote influenced rock music with weird drums and errie guitars. With deep deep lyrics that take a long time of looking into to figure out the meanings.

And if Tool is to heavy try A Perfect Circle same singer but its a totally different band that makes the most beautiful haunting music ever.

Or try Kyuss!!! Its Queens of the Stoneages old band. The genre is stoner rock and its simple fucking head banging shit. Its kinda like black sabbath but more rocking

You should listen to more Korn.

But, Tool is the most advanced band ever, IMHO. The memebers just seem to come together perfectly and make music beyond anything.

I used to think they were just some other band untill I took the time to really LISTEN to them. If you do as well you wont be disapointed. It makes no differance what kind of music you listen too, at least one tool song will tap into your emotions and release you. Then they will just get better and better and it wont make sence untill you are there.

I think Linkin Park has good energy, they're not great at all though.

Not that I'd choose to listen to them but I can take it if I have to :P

Tool is my fucking favorite band ever. I spend so much time listening to them cuz their songs have so much going on at one time you gotta listen very very careful.

If you have ever heard Led Zeppelin's No Quarter which is a beautiful and amazing song. Tool redid and made it so fucking amazing. It almost surpasses the orginal. I listen to that song alot because Tool is known to put hidden messages on songs and this song has a very long hidden message. It's probably the secret of life, thats how fucking good Tool is.

I F**KING love korn, linkin park, tool, stp. I think they're all awesome.
As far as picking just a few particular songs of theirs that are good. I couldn't do that. I like all linkin park.

I agree with bellylard with ONE. Korn did a fanf**kingtastic job with that one!

Whats wrong with the lyrics. Maynards older stuff was very dark. But the cd Lateralus shows that he has matured and isn't angry with the world or hes not gonna complain anymore. It also has alot of buddhism in it and lyrics about growth spiritual and as a person and what not. Songs that are about being alive and well.

Yea it all seems too just

I dunno, obvious.

I haven't listened to Lateralus as much for the lyrics, I should go back and do that.

But the impression I get from the Tool I've heard is,

"I'm crying because daddy raped me then I did some mushrooms look what I figured out"

That being said the music fucking rocks.
