That darn cat!
    #2934135 - 07/27/04 10:16 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

My cat is starting to grow mushrooms again sice his rooms mate refused but tha tbad kitty is gona and my cats growing again.

So his plan is to mix up 12 PF jars

The cakes will be incubicated in a box with a fish tank heater and a glass jar with a hole poked through the lid.

Then he will fruit two jars of each strain just as is, cut one cake in half and fruit it as a mini-cake as well as a mini- casing, and do one full size casing for each strain.

he will place in a large container with perlie and a regualar low wattage bulb shining on them 12 hours a day,

after each flush He will dunk in water for 20 hours, and after its all done then He will crumble them all mix with some poop and straw and mabye make a out doors patch or make a big ol barrle casing.

before any work would be done indoor or out he would spray with lots of lysol and scrub all counter or table tops.

He will flame strealize the needles after every jar
the incubetater will be kept around 82 F?.

he would keep The furiuting chaber areound 74 F?

Drying will be done with a shoe box with a fan first then using dry-rid to get all the water out.

i am also print a bunch of mushrooms and give some away to FSRC.

what do you think of my cats uh, technique?

Any thing you want corret my cat on?

He also had a few questions

1) when making a casing can my cat mix the crumbled cake with more substrate(like poo or straw)?

2)How much more fruits does casing give then cakes?

Thanks for all your help.

yes your procedure sounds good
in answer to your questions:
1)yes it is okay to add more substrate
but it would prob be a better idea to spawn some of your cakes straight to a casing rather than giving them a few flushes
2)it is hard to tell, but it is definitly worth the minimal amount of additional work it takes you will notice a large increase in your yields
