Just thinking about using crushed oystershell with BRF cakes I have heard that on casings it helps you to have a clean break with the casing surface.
What about applyin this Idea on the PF style cakes would you have to balance the PH levels or anything?
Oh and if I have to handle cakes, how is best way to do it?

using oystershell in cakes would serve no purpose. It's used in casing where peat is used to adjust PH. if you want to add something to cakes try hulled millet.

cakes are best handled gently and with latex gloves.
