well i'm gonna have to disagree with not giving them light until pinheads are 1/2in or whatever high, you should give em light as soon as mycel. is visible(about 50-70% colonized casing) since it tells the mycel. that it is above ground and mushies can be produced, humidity should be about 90 and depending on how high it is you should adjust your fanning.

I usually don't spray since my terr. is always above 90%rh so i have to fan alot, it all depends on your set up,

but eventually you'll get mushies, soon you'll realize what your doing wrong and adjust your procedure and it will all be apparent (your previous mistakes that is)

anyways good luck and if you need more help then post your growing parameters/conditions.

It's a rubbermaid clear plastic container (5 U.s. gallons) temp ranges from 72 to 75 most of the time but on sunny days it can climb to 89. I let it climb because the case is besides a window to make the temperature and light cycle more natural.
the humidity is always 95-96%.

oh, i guess i was being impatient, 1 cake started fruiting 11 days after birthing. the B+ grow really fast, too

as for the CO2, before I spray, I paddle the air with the lid to get rid of the CO2.. I do this maybe 2 times a day. everything looks fine now

thats great, but if you haven't already done this, you should cover the sides of the terr. with something to prevent pins from forming on the bottom or sides of your cakes.
And the only other probelem i see is the temp fluctuations, because msuhies fruit when it's cooler, after a rain fall or in/close to fall, the 89 temps might screw them up abit, this could explain some of your problems, but if everything looks fine then i guess its not much of a problem.
anyways good luck

that's cool, I didn't think about covering the sides, thanks for the help!

I'm having the same problem, basically... Its been almost 2 weeks now and no pinheads. My rH is always about 95%+ and the temp is the only thing im having a problem with now. The weather really changed when i birthed my cakes so they sit right at 70 degrees. I have the same container for my chamber, the only difference is that im not fanning them that much... I fan about once every 2 to 3 days, is this the problem?

yes the lack of fanning is a problem, and your rh is too high try and fan abit more, this will decrease CO2 and rH abit, the pins should form. I usually fan about 3-4times a day, but thats because i use alot of h20 in my perlite, that way i don't have to spray at all.

Another trick i learned is that pins occur alot faster if you get a cup of water(cold) and pour it over the colonized casing, this simulates a rain fall and pins come out. Just don't over do it, i have 2 trays(10by10in) and i use a little under 1/2 a cup.
