i went to check out the shit i needed for my incubator/terrarium at the almighty walmart, i found most of what i needed except that they had 3 fishtank heaters, all made of glass, and not fully submersible, i was told that all you needed was a 50 watt, but the 200 watt only went to a maximum temp of 88, so how high can a 50 watt possibly go?? i'm doing tub in tub with a 125 (i think thats 28.8 gallons) liter rubbermaid, what should be sufficient as a tank heater, as for the PC, they only had a fuckin 6 quart, sooo i found one at home and would like to know if it is good enough, its huge but theres a black cylinder thing that attaches to a nozzle on top, which releases pressure i guess cause theres three holes, marked....5...10....15, that stand for P S I ?? is that good? cause if so i just saved a bunch of $$$$$$$
thanks many shitloads!

you dont want the temp to exceed 85 degrees.i keep mine on 82 becuase mycelium produces heat itself. i think mycelium starts to die if it gets hotter than 92 or so depending on the strain.keep in mind that mycelium produces heat itself.it wouldnt really matter what wattage heater you used they all will heat up the water and maintain that temp.it would just take longer if its a smaller one but once the temp was reached it would be maintained.

i think last time i did the fish tank thing i needed the heater to go higher than 86 so it could heat up the whole thing to 86. pay the extra 10 bucks to get the 200+ watt I just baught a Pyrex fish heater today or u can go with titanium. glass will just break, over, over, and over agin

also about the pressure cooker, u can get em real cheap off ebay. Also, they do have them at wall mart u just have to go real slow threw the isles and look every where. I found my 23 quart(can hold 10 quart jars) way up on the top shelf covered in dust.

ok well thanks, i just got back not too long ago from a small pet store, they had the same fuckin heaters than at walmart LOL, fuck ebay, i know its probably good but i rather drive around the city and find it myself, theres huge pet stores not too far away, i'm sure they'll have it there, and SUBGENIUS, i had thought of that, i figured that in order to heat, such a big container that you can't just set to heat the water for like 86, cause it doesn'T mean it'll heat at 86, i'm gonna get myself some powerful shit, not to go wrong the first time lol, anyway thanks
