hehe I think it would be SO trippy to have one of those robot dogs. I didn't realize they could do all that. That would quite cool I think. I'd probably have to turn it off eventually when I'm tripping though.
I know what I'm gonna save up for now...

What happens if your robot dog gets all excited when you're in the pool, and then he jumps in too?

I kind of like the first robot. It requires more imagination.
However, the dog is pretty cool. I guess, that is their 3rd generation dog robot, and it will even play with its own rubber bone.
I can remember back in the '80s, in Silicon Valley, Nolan Bushnell (the guy who started Atari and Pizza Time Theater) was trying to develop a little dog robot, and he joked about it leaving little batteries around until it was house trained. The technology just wasn't there yet.
Honda's ASIMO is interesting too. It's the robot that looks like a very short astronaut.

yeah, that robot looks sweet..
can't it go up steps and shit. I would buy one of those if i could afford it. But that would be scary seeing it walk around in the middle of the night doing shit, haha.

heh, they are kinda pointless. But I make quite a decent amount. It's affordable. I'd like one just for company for a regular pet. That would be a good artifical buddy for a cat or dog...I think.
What about that robot on the pepsi commercial? The one that looks like a big discman or something...is that thing real?

You can have me waaaaaay cheaper. And I'm way more fucking entertaining than one of those would be, too. I've got tactile touch sensors, and I can play the puppy or the adult pet. All I ask for in return is bong hits and some dry cubes - I don't come with a remote control, but that's because I'm extremely responsive to powers of suggestion.

All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake. -Erik Davis
