Anyone know what this is? Could it be chanterelle?

They smelled of apricot.....what do you think? Could they be chanterelle? Found at around 7800 ft in a mixed aspen/pine grassy/meadowy forest. In the Rocky Mountains a few days ago- growing in the soil. Thanks for any input.

Definitely no chantrelle. Proceed with caution.

That is a Clitocybe sp.

Maybe Clitocybe inversa: http://www.mykoweb.com/CAF/species/Clitocybe_inversa.html

Hello.

Although the mushrooms are fairly funnel-shaped and the gills adnate, I have a slight suspicion that these specimens may be a Collybia sp. because of their moderate similarity to Collybia dryophila, in my eyes at least.

Answer me a few question, if you could. Is there any significant odor to the mushrooms? If so, please describe it. Is the stalk somewhat cartiliganous? Is it bendable? Is it significantly hollow on the inside or more stuffed? What color is the flesh of the mushroom?
