I think i found another way to colinize a shit load of birdseed grain easliy. Im still not for sure if its even colinized right but im pretty sure. What i did was just the normal way of putting the birdseed into jars putting spore in it and all that shit. The method i used said to soak the bird seed in water over night before you put in it the jar. After i was done with my jars i rinsed all the extra bird seed i didnt use and put it into a trash bag and threw it a cabinet in my shed. When i came back to look at it a month later it smelled bad so i was going to throw it away till i opened it and saw that all the bird seed looked white and colinized. Im going to try to get a picture of it so you all can see it because im still kind of new at growing but im pretty sure that the bird seed is colinizing.

If it smells bad its prolly a contam and not a mycellium colinization. If its a mushy colonization itll kinda smell like earth or mushrooms. Imagine that. lol

Did you pressure cook it? Pasturize it? Did you inject spores?

If you didn't innoculate it with spores, and it smells bad, then it's contaminated. Throw it away, if that is the case.
