Which artist or bands would have the most complicatedly beautiful shapes?

I find trance-techno type music to produce crazy visualizations. Try listening to different stuff while watching milkdrop.

Music IS shaped (when in the right circumstances )

Shpongle
Rastaliens

would definitely have some seriously twisted surreal shapes.

its gotta be simple stuff. My synthesizer elicits pure geometric visualizations, crests and troughs, serrated edge textures, ever changing amplitues, etc. Its really easy to see those pure, simple electronic sounds as geometrical abstractions, especially when you're making them yourself. Drugs help this process along quite nicely (250mgs of 5-htp and a few bong rips, with a little caffeine to keep you up)

My favorite groups that stay close to these fundamental sounds are Fischerspooner, Kraftwerk, and Infected Mushrooms. That stuff is pure aural crack.

Shpongle is another music that begs to be seen, but in a more complex fasion. Posford is an amazing artist who uses rhythmic surprise, themes, and a lot of unique original tricks to paint his pictures. He's also got the knob-twisting synth type pleasure sounds as well.

When I smoked 10x salvia I had my stereo playing Shpongle. The speakers were stretching and elongating 'reality' like it was some weightless fluid that encapsulates everything around us. To every beat and sound the reality or 'existence' in front of the speakers was turning into parabolic shapes and cylinders, way cool

Or...

If the most beautiful shape in the world could churn out sound, what would that sound be?

These questions are fun, but everytime I try to come up with some sort of answer, I get a headache, and the most beautiful sound in the world for me at that point is silence  :smirk:

Shpongle is definitely the top of my list, but second would have to be some pure vocal stuff. Whenever i listen to that i can always picture just how the different tones and voices mix and relate to each other. Hard to explain, but amazing on a little of these :mushroom2: or after this :smoker:

I am going to say Tool for the reason that the shape would become progressively more intricate as the music went on....it would be cool to look at.

^^ Every note beat and rythmic harmony is so well structured.

We live together, we act on, and react to, one another; but always and in all circumstances we are by ourselves. The martyrs go hand in hand into the arena; they are crucified alone. Embraced, the lovers desperately try to fuse their insulated ecstasies into a single self-transcendence; in vain. By its very nature every embodied spirit is doomed to suffer and enjoy in solitude. Sensations, feelings, insights, fancies--all these are private and, ex- cept through symbols and at second hand, incommunicable. We can pool information about experiences, but never the experiences themselves. From family to nation, every human group is a society of island universes.

Try listening to music while tripping on Salvia!

I have found that ambient music, like APhex Twin, is amazing for a salvia trip. During the whole experience I feel the shape of the music, it modifies my whole being, it was a physical sensation, wall of music. That is the most profound way to enjoy music, to immerse in it.

Weed and Mushrooms also make me feel the shape of the music.

I also really enjoy music while sober(even though winamp visualizations seem boring to me), but with hallucinigens, especially Salvia, it is on another level entirely!

Everyone is mentioning Sphongle and other techno/trance music... which is all fine, but do you guys seriously think techno is the most complicated music?

I would be inclined to say that phish has the craziest shape.  Just listen to "David Bowie" off Junta on mushrooms and tell me that its not ten times more intricate than any Sphongle.

Jazz music is also geometrically more insane than techno
