Caffine....Gotta have it
    #2923330 - 07/24/04 12:16 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

Even though caffine isn't a drug, I am so addicted to it it's scarey. I wouldn't think of starting my day without it. I've even gotten to the point where I brew my coffee using WaterJoe (caffine enhanced water). If I try to go without coffee in the AM I get severly punished with a throbbing headache. Now they are even selling caffine quick disolving strips (like the listerine breath strips that disolve instantly on your tongue)at WalMart. I'm convinced it's a government plot.

It is pretty addictive, I got the headache thing for the first time the other day when I didnt have the chance to make or stop for coffee for a few hours.. I've been drinking it daily for about 3 years, and now its worse cause I drink a lot of it some days when I dont get much sleep the night before and stuff.

I'm pretty sure it fucks with your brain in the longterm, and I hear its carcinogenic. ITs so damn good though, lots of good flavors and stuff out these days. Coffee industry must be booming, I always see they're hiring drivers and stuff in the paper. Anyways, I think it occasionally causes insomnia in me. On purpose a few times..  :smirk:

hippie speedballs on a sat. morning rocks though, no doubt  :stoned:

Caffiene is SUCH a drug and I do enjoy it. I used to work at StarFucks. You could always tell a genuin coffee addict by the person's twisted, fucked up, smile. True coffee addicts and abusers are fucked! I'm talking about people who drink a gallon per day, not a single cup. It's not as bad as crack but crack heads and people whith severe coffee addictions are like distant relatives.

Anyone try guarana powder? I got some from IAmShaman and it really does the trick.

I <3 Red Bull, Monster Energy drinnks, and Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee. I can be somewhat dependant on caffiene. I have sleep apenea, so I don't always get a good night's sleep.

The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

I love those Monster energy drinks and Warp mints - coffee makes me feel sick but I can drink it when I have to.

Obviously the companies are capitalizing on the addictive properties of caffeine, but I don't mind at all.

I hope they start including other herbs like Sobe has into more products along with the guarana though. Herbal legal drug cocktails are gooooooood.

hahaha...if that's the case...try a day without it...or a week...i know my mom drinks Diet Coke religously...and some of my friends drink other flavors....like a minimum of 4 - 20 oz's...but when they don't drink their pop they get headaches...don't know if it's from the caffeine or sugar or what...but try it and see what happens...also get pissy...

I don't need caffiene. I'm an insomniac. If I drank coffee I would be up for days. I've never drank more than a few cups. What is it like to drink a lot of coffee? Do you actually get a buzz?

"Even though caffine isn't a drug, I am so addicted to it it's scarey."

Caffine is far more dangerous then Cannabis, therefore Coffee is a drug for sure......and caffine casuses 1000 deaths in the US every year.....through in the fact coffee has 21 (proven) Cancer causing chemicals......and Cannabis is looking sweeter by the minute.

(although I admit I used to really like coffee, I used it at work ALOT, hell it was the best thing about working at an autobody shop (LAME!)  but I noticed without being addicted to it, I act alot nicer and SHIT alot better

(btw, Coffe will leach you , of large ammounts sodium and potasium  (etc ), everytime you drink  )

Give up the bean..... Repent... REPENT

Caffeine is a drug, ditto what everyone else said. I know a man who used to drink 10+ cups a day and now he can't because of his diet. He's having jitters and bad headaches. I love the drink myself. And I also like the coffee coolatas from Dunkin Donuts, although the caffeine content doesn't seem to be that high. ?

Yeah, but picture this if you will:
You're asleep. Suddenly you smell the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Fuck, that wakes me up right out of my sleep. Or it's the middle of the day and it seems to be dragging a bit, somewhere off in the distance, you smell that oh so comforting smell of fresh coffee being brewed. You gotta have some. Maybe it's bad for my health, but, I just don't care.
If I'm addicted and it will cause me health problems, I wonder if I have a law suit against the coffee industry like those people with cancer and the tobacco companies? Fuck, who am I kidding, they're all from Colombia.
